March 4th - March 29th
Reception Thursday, March 29th, 6 to 9pm
[S]HEROES 3: The Bootlegs is the third installment of Jordan Christianson’s wearable art in celebration of the women who have musically inspired him. Each handbag is individually designed and handmade to invoke the spirit of these trailblazing women who have influenced Christianson, and changed history. This collection includes new pieces, reissues of past favorites, and an anthology of past collections,
[S]HEROES: Side’s A and B.
He is also pleased to be collaborating, again, with Mariel Andrade who's hand-painted jackets are the perfect compliment to this thoughtful collection.
Jordan Christianson is a Pacific Northwest native and Couturier to its unique arts and performance community. He, and his award-winning creations, have been featured internationally in museums, galleries, hotels and on stage, page, and screen.
Mariel Andrade is a Seattle based painter who’s work is inspired by surrealism, nostalgia, romanticism, humor, and strangers in old photographs. Fascinated by capturing the emotion & personality of each individual, imagining what their story could have been; are the key components to her work. With her art, Mariel seeks to evoke a memory, one's laughter, and the enigma within the viewer.
